Why Turrialba and Pacuare?
River rafting and kayak excursions, canopy tours and biological diversity have turned Turrialba in one of most visited places for the adventure tourism, mostly because in this area we can find the Pacuare River, considered within the best ten rivers in the world for the practice of white water rafting, which turns this river into one of the main destinations for people who love to enjoy adrenalin to the maximum.

How to get there?
San José - Turrialba (Pacuare): we will leave San José via San Pedro, having to cross the Fuente de la Hispanidad circle. We take then the highway # 2 with destination to the city of Cartago; we pass by the towns of Curridabat and San Diego. Right at Tres Ríos, we begin to ascend the Ochomogo hill. Once we have passed Lima, we will take a deflection towards Cartago, where we will start heading for Turrialba by crossing Paraíso, Arrabara, Cervantes, Quebrada Honda, Naranjo, Maravilla and Recreacion.
Arenal Volcano - Turrialba (Pacuare): From la Fortuna we will bound for Turrialba following this route: we begin on the route # 702 which will transport us from La Fortuna to Angeles, nearby San Ramon. Once in San Ramon, we will turn aside to the General Cañas freeway, this route will lead us to San José. There we will look for the route that goes to Cartago, which borders Tres Ríos and puts us right at the beginning of the Ochomogo hill. After passing Lima, we will take a deflection to Cartago, where we will set our course for Turrialba, on the way we will cross Paraíso, Arrabara, Cervantes, Quebrada Honda, Naranjo, Maravilloso and Recreacion.
Tortuguero - Turrialba: while in Tortuguero, we must take a boat that transfers us to the Caño Blanco port. From there and until we head Siquirres we will be traveling by the route # 806. Once in Siquirres downtown, we will take course towards Turrialba, having to cross the towns of Moravia, Guayacán, Linda Vista, La Amistad, Tres Equis, Chitaria and Pavones, in order to arrive at Turrialba.
