Why Central Valley?
It includes the metropolitan zones of four provinces: San José, Alajuela, Heredia and Cartago. From this part of the country you have access to all the current tourist destinations; not to mention the great variety of activities that can be found, such as visits to volcanoes Irazú and Poás without having to move much away from the capital. In addition, within the Central Valley it is possible to practice infinity of extreme sport activities like hiking, canopy, bicycle, cavalcades, etc.

How to get there?
Guanacaste - San José:
from Guanacaste, the route is the following: we will take the freeway # 1, Inter-American North, passing near to El Salto, Bagaces, Montenegro, Corobicí, Jabilla, San Miguel, Barrio Jesus, San Gerardo, Barranca, Esparza, la Angostura, Cambronero and, finally, San Ramón. There, we must continue on the General Cañas freeway in the direction of Alajuela where we can decide which will be our following tourist destination.
Tortuguero - San José:
We must take the aquatic transport that leaves Tortuguero. This boat will take us to La Pavona. Following the route # 247 we will arrive soon to Cariari and Guápiles where we will take an alternative route towards San José through the highway # 32 (Braulio Carrillo).
Arenal – San José:
from La Fortuna, we will head for San José following this route: we begin at the route # 702 which will transport us from la Fortuna to Angeles, near San Ramon. Once in San Ramon, we will turn aside towards the General Cañas freeway, which will lead us to, finally, San José. |
