Rafiki Safari

through the mountainous terrain on one of our sturdy horses.
Horses are still used by the local people of the Savegre. Rafiki
tries to maximize the cultural experience by traveling to places
where horses are still the major form of transportation. Sometimes

Cascajal Horseback Experience
Located: in Cascajal village of Orotina in Puntarenas, Central Pacific.

Description: the local riders will be waiting for you at the old corral of the
Hacienda which once was a cattle farm. Through open skies and
shaded paths we will get to El Faro, the highest elevation, only
40 minutes away from the starting point. Then we descend to the
Machuca river. Going down rustic trails we enter out primary
tropical dry forest where you be able to see exuberant vegetation
and wildlife, rider along the river side, you will dismount to
enjoy the river waterfront. One the way back you will through a
working mango plantation.
