Located: 300 mts. From the main entrance of Cocles village in Puerto Viejo of Talamanca, south caribbean coast, Limón.

Description: For our diving and snorkeling guests who are staying in the vicinity of Puerto Viejo and do not have a rental car, we offer free transport to and from the hotel/cabin. Because we enjoy personal contact with our guests, we train and do the guided dives in small groups. Diving Courses (International Standards from PADI) start daily, without a minimum of students in a relaxed atmosphere. There is no strict, stressful hourly schedule. Who likes stress during holidays...? The theoretical material is taught with video and/or CD-Rom in our classroom. A book in English is included in the course. The so called "Confined Water Training" is done in the swimming pool of a near-by hotel or in the protected bay of Punta Uva. For the necessary open water training dives we'll visit one of the various reefs in front of Puerto Viejo, Punta Uva and Manzanillo. The gear we use (among other things) is: a BAUER Mariner compressor, Sea Quest BCD´s and Aqualung regulators.

Reef Runner Divers

Located: 100 mts, east from the bus station, in Puerto Viejo de Talamanca, south caribbean coast, Limón.

Description: we offer guided tours for certified divers and PADI Discover Scuba Diving courses for those who are interested in learning to scuba dive. Reef Runner Divers has full access to Costa Rica’s only pristine coral reef ecosystem. 50 miles from the nearest city and largely unexplored, our barrier reef stretches from the town of Puerto Viejo to the Panamanian boarder and offers you more than 25 fixed dive locations ranging from shallow coral gardens to deep, fringing reefs and vertical walls dropping to over 140 feet! Angelfish, parrotfish, triggerfish, sharks and different species of jack and snapper are among the 475 species of discovered fish. Brown and black coral, sheet coral and lettuce coral are a few of the 31 discovered types of coral you will encounter on your dives.
