How to get there?

San José - Monteverde: from San José, we will get to Monteverde following this route: we will take the General Cañas freeway in the direction of Alajuela. Soon we will turn aside to freeway # 1, Inter-American North, passing by San Ramon, Cambronero, La Angostura, until arriving at Esparza. There we must continue on the North Inter-American freeway; on the way we will be able to see the entrances to towns like Barranca, Santa Rosa and Cebadilla. After a few kilometers, we must turn towards Sardinal, route that will take us through Guacimal, until arriving to Cerro Plano, where we will turn aside towards Monteverde.

Arenal - Monteverde: if we are at the Arenal Volcano area and we wished to travel to the Cloudy Forest of Monteverde, we must take the route # 142 to Mata de Caña until we hit Tilarán downtown. Then we turned aside to Barrio Dos of Tilarán and this will take us to Cerro Plano and Monteverde but not without passing first through the towns of Cabecera de Cañas and Río Chiquito de Nubes.

Guanacaste - Monteverde: from Guanacaste, this is the route to follow in order to reach Monteverde: you will take the freeway # 1, Inter-American North, you will pass near El Salto, Bagaces, Montenegro, Corobicí, Jabilla, San Miguel, Desjarretado, until arriving at the Irma, where you will turn aside towards Las Juntas of Abangares and keep going until you enter Barrio Dos of Tilarán. From there, you will take the route towards Cabecera de Cañas, Río Chiquito de Nubes and, finally, we will arrive at the Cloudy Forest of Monteverde, Costa Rica.
