Descripción: The best site is the Caño Negro Wild life Refuge, a 4 hectares island with water, electricity, ideal to develop an ecotouristic project. Surrounded by rivers Frio, Monica from Los Chiles, working up to it's juction with Caño Negro and Rio San Juan as it forms the border between Costa Rica and Nicaragua. The lagoon is loaded with fish as snook, drum, guapote and other species. Caño Negro is an immense inland lake that is home to the largest tarpon you're likely to find in the country.

Luna Sport Fishing

Ubicación: 7 km. norte del Parque Nacional Manuel Antonio, Quepos, Manuel Antonio, Puntarenas.

Descripción: Quepos region offers the best inshore and offshore fishing throughout the year.  The area is well protected from the prevailing northerly winds and enjoys pretty close to ideal weather although you can expect rain most anytime from May through December, especially in the afternoons. Billfish are the favored target of most visiting anglers, and they are seldom disappointed from around December through April. To release a half dozen sails and even a marlin or two in a fishing day is common but not unusual to release more than a dozen sailfish a day.  There are also Dolphin, Giant Yellofin Tuna, Wahoo, Cubera, Roosterfish, a variety of Snapper, Grouper, Blue Runners, Rainbow Runners, Snook, Jacks, Mackerel and much more. Costa Rica's sport fishing records speak for themselves: there were more than 70 current IGFA worked record fish from Costa Rica waters including 17 all - tackle marks.

Valle central

Colinas Del Poás

Ubicación: 900 metros norte de Fraijanes, Sabanilla, Alajuela.

Descripción: Three integrated artificial lakes have been built, comprising approximately 8,000 m2. The major lake is used for boat tours and outdoor shows. Visitors can go trout fishing in one of the lakes, and take the fished trout to the cleaning station where they are weighted, and packed according to the clients' preference. If preferred, trout can be made at the restaurant following your favorite recipe. Our fishing complex has its own rainbow trout farm, one of the salmonidae species whose culture has increased in many parts of the world due to its quality and delicious flavor. A large variety of dishes can be made with trout fish, including the simplest way - with salt and lemon-, and the most sophisticated gourmet recipes.
