Yellow Fin Scuba Diving

Descripción: Diving is still our main activity; actually it is also our passion. Scuba Diving in Guanacaste is besides Cocos Island the very best and recommended in Costa Rica. Guanacaste is a very dry region during six months of the year, from December to May. This season is the so-called Dry Season that creates the dry Tropical Forest but also the pristine and untouched clear water. The other six moths of the year it rains quiet often, but that does not really affect our sites since we are not close to Rivers.
We can say that compared to the Caribbean, our visibility is not as good as theirs, clearly because of the surf and the fact that the tides of the Pacific are more extreme than the quiet Caribbean. But do not misunderstand us; we also get 60 feet of visibility in a good day. And believe me, when you see the Underwater Wildlife we have, your mouth will go wide open. Resort Divers de Costa Rica

Descripción: All these creatures provide great opportunities for underwater photographers. We dive volcanic rock formations and rock pinnacles. There is very little hard coral, some black coral, soft coral and cup coral, which is spectacular at night.  A 15 to 30 minute boat ride is all it takes to reach most of the local sites. Exceptions, but very well worth the 1-hour ride, are the CATALINA ISLANDS where we have seen manta rays schooling, white tip sharks, turtles, schools of amberjacks, eagle rays and many more. Best months to visit are from December through April. A two hour boat ride will take you to the BAT ISLANDS (Murcielagos), scenery of impressive big bull sharks from 8 to 12 ft , schools of cow-nosed rays, eagle rays along with varieties of larger fish, rainbow runners, horse-eye jacks, spade fish, pompano.

Pura Vida Dive

Ubicación: 200 mtrs. Oeste del Banco Nacional en Playa Samara, Guanacaste.

Descripción: Los alrededores de Playa Sámara ofrecen a los enamorados del buceo Sub-Marino bellezas innumerosas. Peces multicolores, meru. morenas, mantas, banco de jureles... se unen a Oscar, Instructor de buceo de 20 años de experiencia para que se llevan un recuerdo inolvidable. En grupos pequeños de 2 a 6 personas máximo de manera que cada uno pueda aprovechar sin estrés su paseo. En 10-15 minutos en barco estamos en los sitios de buceo. Rocas inmergidas, refugios de una rica vida marina. Desde el principiante hasta el buzo más experimentado, desde los 15 a 40 metros (50 - 130 feet) de profundidad todos encontrarán satisfacción al descubrir el baile multicolor de los peces, o sentirán subir la adrenalina al encontrarse con los fascinantes tiburones y las gigantescas mantas rayas. Las aguas cálidas de la región de Sámara ofrecen una visibilidad muy buena de noviembre a Abril (época seca). En época lluviosa podemos ofrecerles buceos interesantes debido al número de sitios que nos permite escoger el más apropiado. La temperatura del agua oscila entre los 25º y 29ºC (77º - 84º F). El uso de short es adecuado, para las personas más propensas a sentir frío usarían trajes largos de 3mm de espesor. En Pura Vida Dive Center encontrarán un equipo muy atento a sus necesidades. En Español, Frances o Ingles, siempre buscamos la mayor satisfacción de nuestros clientes y el máximo de seguridad. Oscar el instructor de buceo lleva larga experiencia desde las Islas Galapagos hasta las aguas frías de la costa Canadiense. Su pasión por el buceo lo llevo a instalarse en el 2003 en Sámara donde abrio su centro de buceo. Muy amigable, él compartira con ustedes su amor por el mar y su fascinación siempre intacta por la vida submarina. Tenemos el respaldo de un médico hyperbar a 35 minutos de Sámara, en la ciudad de Nicoya y una cámara de descompresión a 3 horas de los sitios de buceo. Acua Center

Ubicación: Playa Flamingo, Guanacaste.

Descripción: We invite you to enjoy our world of underwater adventure. Just offshore from Flamingo, the Catalina Islands are considered among the most attractive dive sites in Costa Rica. It is an area where divers often find themselves surrounded by large schools of colorful fish. When you dive the Catalinas, you may experience swimming with abundance of manta rays and stingrays. The formations provide a spectacular variety of marine life from nudibranchs to sharks, with angel fish, jacks, snappers, grunts, octopus and eels in between. There are several dive spots with depths ranging from 40 ft. to more than 100 ft. Visibility depends upon the levels of plankton and nutrients. It varies from 20 ft. to 100 ft., with an average of 45 ft. approximately.
