How to get there?

San José - Arenal: in order to get to Arenal from San José, you must take the General Cañas freeway in the direction of Alajuela; you will exit the freeway at the San Ramón intersection, where you will pass the tourist center called Mi Ranchito. After taken the route 702 towards Santa Cecilia, you will find yourself near to the San Lorenzo canopy, which is located on this same route. Once crossed El Bajo de los Rodriguez, you can take the route towards La Tigra, Chachagua and, finally, you will reach La Fortuna (all located in same route, 702). However, if you wished, you can take an alternative course, in which you will pass the Old Highway, Florencia, Platanar, until arriving to the quay, where you will take the route to San Cristóbal, passing by Barrio Tanque until arriving at la Fortuna.

Monteverde - Arenal: if you are in Monteverde and you wished to travel to Arenal you must take the route 619 towards Río Chiquito de Nubes; soon, you will pass by Cabecera de Cañas; later, by Barrio Dos of Tilarán, until arriving at Tilarán downtown, where you will turn aside to take route 142 towards Mata de Caña and continue until arriving to La Fortuna.

Liberia - Arenal: From Liberia we will travel through freeway # 1, Inter-American North, passing by Juanilama, Pejibaye, Bagaces and Cañas. Once in Cañas, we will take the the highway # 142 to Pueblo Nuevo and we will remain in this route until reaching Tilarán where we must take the route # 142 to Mata de Caña and continue until arriving at La Fortuna.
